Rod still sound great but....
I have seen Rod Stewart two other times and, despite both of us being much older this time, he was off the stage more than on. When he sang, it was great, and I didn't mind him allowing his daughter to sing one song. The band was very good, and I enjoyed their solo acts, but I didn't pay to see them. I paid to see Rod, so I have to admit I was disappointed. When they played Stay With Me, he brought out his young son, and they kicked soccer balls into the audience through the whole song (and people were about killing each other trying to get the balls). I don't think Rod sang more than two or three lines through the whole song; it felt like he was not really into it at all.
Although I was never much into Cyndi Lauper, I was pleasantly surprised at her performance. She has an amazing voice, and she obviously appreciated the audience. She was still deeply into her music.
